Jai Jai Ganga Maiya Ki
She is watching us
As we travel through the hallowed environment blessed by the presence of the Mother Ganga we
bow our heads in reverence well aware that She is watching our conduct. How can we think of
polluting such pious atmosphere? Are we not aware that She is called “Tripathaga” in
Sanskrit language meaning one who travels the three worlds ---- Swarga (heaven), Prithvi
(Earth), and Patala (neitherworld or hell). She is the only one to do so. Her mere
presence has made us a sacred country. In fact, we are doubly blessed while we are in this
picturesque region. Shiva, the Lord of us all, is overlooking the entire world and certainly
the territory we are in at the moment. He is sitting on top of it. Shiva is worshipped as
Kedarnath, the Lord of Kedar Khand, the historic name of this region. It is our proud
privilege to fly you all through this revered land to His abode in the Kedarnath Temple.
We feel that we are humble servants of Shiva and The Ganga chosen to serve them both.
How lucky are we! Our joy knows no bounds as we serve the Goddess and the God.
It would be our Endeavour to provide utmost comfort to you all, our honoured guests.
We would also observe perfect decorum in our approach and behavior. We would not
use plastic at all and we would appeal to you too not to do so. Plastic harms
the river and the hills. We need not elaborate it for such well-informed fellow-travelers
as all of you we are privileged to have with us. Please don’t throw even plastic water
bottles around anywhere. Just in case you have a problem please crush them and bring
them back to us at the Kedarnath Helipad or Sersi Helipad. We would deal with them
for you. It is our job and responsibility to ensure perfect cleanliness of the
holy river and the surrounding mountains.
