Pahalgam is 95 kms away from Srinagar. It takes about 3 hours to get there,
but if you are driving from Jammu you can turn from Khanabal and drive to Pahalgam
and cut the distance by half. Traditionally Pahalgam has been starting point of the
Yatra. Pahalgam is probably the most popular hill resort in Kashmir valley.
Baltal is 16 km form Sonamarg and it is is one of the most popular tourist
destination of vale of Kashmir, which is 84 km form Srinagar.
Sonamarg offers comfortable hotels. Baltal has large number tented camp
accommodation offered by private parties, and Pre fabricated huts with attached
bath rooms.
